FITE supports Dr.X’s hunger strike for justice

FITE – Hyderabad Member, Dr.X , the retrenched employee from Novartis Health Care’s IT division had questioned various unethical practices in the company ranging from “pressurizing employees driving them even to suicides” to “bias in recognitions and promotions”. Instead of constituting a free and fair enquiry on the charges made by X, the company had unfolded an act of revenge on X. The company had slapped back a bogus charge of “Plagiarism” on X and then dismissed him from the company for his work on an idea that would actually serve for the benefit of the company.

After an year of judicial struggle, The XXV Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Hyderabad has now heard from the statements of witnesses and documents and has noticed “prima facie evidences which are cognizable in nature” against the accused, M/S Novartis Health Care Pvt. Ltd. Further it has ordered Madhapur Police Station to investigate into this matter and the Police Department has filed FIR under various sections on the company.

The sufferings and victimizations that X in this period had undergone were enormous. Because of the fabricated charges framed on X, his livelihood itself has been pushed to a threatening stage. The victimization subjected has resulted in him being jobless for about a year now. Dr. X is carrying out a protest of Hunger Strike for two days demanding.
