FITE pledge to fight against forced resignations, an unfair labor practice in IT Industry and stand in solidarity with protesting Transport Workers

Forum for IT Employees – Tamilnadu’s first Annual General Body meeting post successful registration was held on 07.01.2017, Sunday between 10AM-1PM at Nila Party hall, Adayar,Chennai. The General Body meeting was presided over by the President Parimala. The meeting started with solidarity message to the protesting transport workers in Tamilnadu and introduction on the Annual General Body meeting 2018. The Annual Work Report 2017 detailing various activities carried out by FITE was submitted by General Secretary Sathiesh. The Deputy Secretary Bharathidasan explained the need of having strong financial support for successful day to day operations of union and submitted the annual audited financial report for the year 2017.
GB has passed several resolutions. FITE shared its heart felt wishes to its members and supporters on its third year anniversary. GB has reviewed and approved the annual report and audited financial report. GB has decided to file 2k petition on few companies to highlight certain important demands of employees of the respective companies to the labor department and strive until the fulfilment of the demands. GB unanimously selected the nominated 11 member new working committee and office bearers to have smooth functioning of the union. GB determined to take required efforts to make the state level union to all India union by extending its memberships from Bengaluru, Hydrabad, Kolkatta, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi etc., GB strongly condemned the expelled members’ fraudulent activities and decided to take appropriate legal actions. FITE general body showed its strong support to the ongoing Tamilnadu state transport workers’, JACTO GEO and nurses’ struggle. FITE determined to take its existence widely among the IT workers and increase its membership base this year.
