Despite the stiff opposition by TCS counsel, the Honourable Madras High Court issued an ad-interim injunction order restraining TCS to give effect of its termination letter to a 36 year old male employee for two weeks . The High Court also directed the Labour Conciliation Officer to commence the proceedings related to the disputes raised by the petitioner under the Industrial Disputes Act.
The petitioner is the second FITE member who got the interim stay in connection with TCS ‘layoffs’. More than a dozen FITE members who got affected raised disputes under IDA in their respective Labour offices in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad. They also filed a writ petition in Bombay High Court and the Hyderabad High Court respectively. FITE Chapters in Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad organized the affected TCS employees for the legal challenge with help of the senior advocates in the respective cities. Those writ petitions are expected to come up for hearing soon in the respective High Courts.

More lay off will be planned by HCL and other co.s because of the stiff competition and deployment of cloud and ADM sharing. ITians develop the technology and after two years get into this trap.
